FLASHBACK: In view of Chilcot Reprot on Blair rushing into Iraq War in 2002, here is a flashback to a favourite cartoon of mine about Howard and Downer eager to go into the Iraq war with Bush.
The ISIS movement and terrorist attacks had their roots in the ill-conceived Shodk and Awe Iraq War of 2002n and the Maliki government installed in 2006. War begets war.

This cartoon was a response to Malcolm Fraser’s speech at Asialink on the dangers of the US policy of containment of China and the risk of Australia being drawn into a war with China against our interests and wishes. The Australian government appears to be floundering in its response to both the desire of China to invest in Australian mining and agriculture, and to the expansion of Chinese power and influence in the Asia/Pacific.
